Meadville Overhead Door stocks a wide variety of residential operators to enable us to suggest
the best fit with your garage door in a variety of price ranges. These operators have built-in safety features
which utilize safety eye sensors to prevent your door from closing on a child, pet or other obstruction.
Some models offer battery back-up.
We sell two major brands of operators: Lift-Master
and
Linear. We service most brands.
The Chamberlain Group makes Lift-Master and Sears operators.
One or more remotes can be programmed for each operator and a remote can also be purchased which operates one
to four different garage doors. Newer remotes have rolling codes which change every time they are used, for
added security. A keypad mounted outside your door allows you to open your door by entering a
P-I-N code.
Lift-Master offers several different operators with a belt or chain drive.
Belt operators are “whisper” quiet. Less expensive operators have a one year parts warranty
and a two year motor warranty. More expensive operators have a five year parts warranty and a lifetime
warranty on the motor.
Lift-Master also offers
the Model 3800 residential jackshaft operator, which
is mounted at the side of the door. These
operators are ideal for garages with low ceilings or
other space restrictions. They have a DC motor
for quiet operation and smooth start and stop.
Other features include standard remote operation
and a built-in light. These operators are also
available with built-in battery back-up, which
enables your operator to function if power is out
from a storm or other reason.
Linear Model LD050 1/2 Hp heavy duty chain drive openers have a lifetime warranty
on the motor, 5 years on mechanical parts and 1 year on electronics. They offer a 5 minute courtesy light and
easy door release if the power goes out.
